Privacy Policy

I. General

We want you to feel comfortable on our website.
Protecting your privacy and your personal rights has therefore been a very important concern for us long before the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect. We therefore ask you to read the following statement carefully. You can be assured that we process data fairly and transparently and that we are committed to handling your data carefully and responsibly.

The following explanations are intended to inform you about how we use your personal data.
We adhere to the strict provisions of German data protection law as well as the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Information on the Collection of Personal Data

Below, we inform you about the collection of personal data when you use our website.
Personal data is any data that can be related to you personally, e.g., name, address, email addresses, user behavior.

The data controller pursuant to Article 4(7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Wheelsshop, part of JES GROUP APS, Klokkerbakken 72, DK-8210 Aarhus, Denmark, email: mail@wheelsshop.com, website: www.wheelsshop.com (see our legal notice).
You can reach our data protection officer at datenschutz@wheelsshop.de or at our postal address with the addition "Data Protection Officer".

Using our website functions is generally possible without processing personal data.
For information on the (personal) data that you technically transmit to us, please see the relevant sections below. If we use commissioned service providers for individual functions of our website, we will inform you in detail about the respective processes below. Finally, we will also specify the criteria for determining the storage period.

2. Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Unless otherwise described or specified, the purpose of our data processing activities is to pursue our own business purposes.
We use different legal bases for data processing. If you give us your consent for specific processing operations involving personal data, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR is the legal basis (hereinafter also referred to simply as "consent").

If the processing of personal data is necessary for the initiation or performance of a contract to which the data subject is a (potential) party, e.g., if you submit product inquiries and/or order goods from us and the data processing is necessary for the delivery of the goods, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR is the legal basis (hereinafter also referred to simply as "contract performance").

If the processing of personal data is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, e.g., for fulfilling tax archiving obligations, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR is the legal basis.

The processing of personal data may be permissible under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR if it is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject (hereinafter also referred to as "balancing of interests").
We consider the conduct of our business activities to safeguard the jobs of our employees and the well-being of our shareholders to be our fundamental legitimate interest. This also aligns with the legitimate interests of companies as expressly described by the European legislator. For example, a legitimate interest can be assumed if the data subject and the company have a customer relationship (Recital 47, second sentence, GDPR).

3. Your Rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

Right of access,

Right to rectification or erasure,

Right to restriction of processing,

Right to object to processing,

Right to data portability.
...```
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data. Your rights are regulated in Chapter 3 of the GDPR.

4. Objection to or Withdrawal of Consent to the Processing of Your Data

If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can withdraw it at any time.
Such a withdrawal affects the lawfulness of processing your personal data after you have communicated it to us.

Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on the balancing of interests, you can object to the processing.
This is the case if the processing is particularly necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in us.
